Holy Land Tour

Day 1 (Travel to Jordan): Fly to Amman on board of Air Canada. (Other air carriers are available for your travel to Jordan) (D)

Day 2 (Amman): Upon arrival to the airport meet our representative and transfer to your Le Meridian Hotel in Amman and overnight.

Day 3 (Amman): Breakfast at the hotel, then drive to visit the roman city of Jerash, visiting Maximus Cardo, the colonnaded street flanked by temples, churches, theaters and endless mosaics. Continue to visit Ajun castle is an awe-inspiring Islamic fortress that withstood the power of the crusader armies in the 12th century. Continue to the north to the ancient city in the northern Jordan is Byzantien umm Ais, an important city of the Decapolis where poets and artists were inspired and where Christ performed the miracle of the gadarineswine. Back to Amman, dinner and overnight at the hotel in Amman. (BD)

Day 4 (Amman-Petra): After breakfast at the hotel, depart from Amman directly to Petra to start a full day dedicated to visit Petra the rose red city, the visit will include the main sited as the “siq“, a long winding fissure between two walls of overhanging cliffs, the “Khazneh� referref to as the treasury, the street of Facades, the court house and the Amphitheater. Dinner and overnight in Petra. (BD)

Day 5 (Wadi Rum): Breakfast at the hotel, drive to Wadi Rum the most enchanting desert in the world. An open space and a setting that resembles the moon, Wadi RuM will engulf you with its enigmatic lure. Whether you’re an an adventurer or a novice wanderer, you’ll learn more about yourself in a unique exprerience combing outdoor activities and inner-self enriching, where we will arrange for a jeep tour for 2 hours inside the desert. After Wadi Rum drive back to Petra, dinner and overnight. (BD)

Day 6 (Madaba): Breakfast at the hotel, depart to visit the endless churches of Madaba known as the city of mosaics for the famous mosaic map fooring the greek orthodox church of st. George, the oldest map in the world depicting the holy land. Then continues to visit mount Nebo, the mountain top memorial of moses with captivating views of the Jordan valley, dead sea, river of Jordan. Drive to the dead sea the lowest point on earth for free time on the dead sea, drive to Alenbi Bridge and drive to Tel Aviv, upon arrival transfer to your hotel in Tel Aviv and overnight. (B)

Day 7 (Tiberias): Leave Tel Aviv and drive for a short visit to the city of Jaffa (Joppa) where we will take a short walk tour in the picturesque alleys of the old, fortified town, then to the house of Simon the tanner and mervel at the views from the hill top then drive up north along the coast to archaeological ruins of Caesarea, built by Herod the great in honor of Augustus Caesar, from there we go on to visit Magiddow here the book of revelation mentions a great battle at the place called “Armageddon”. It is an ancient city inhabited continuously for more than five millennia (6000-500 B.C) then drive to Tzippori, the ancient capital of the Galilee with the recent excavations and impressive mosaics. Continue to your hotel at Tiberias for overnight. (BD)

Day 8 (Sea of Galilee, Golan heights): Travel to start the Day form historic Tiberias, where Jesus lived, sojourned and preached on the shores of the Sea of Galilee .our next destinations will be Capernaum, the center of Jesus ministry. Tabgha, just north of Tiberias, is the site of Christ’s miracle of feeding the 5000 and at the church of multiplication the mosaic floor depicts at basket with loaves and two fishes. We drive on to the mount of beatitudes overlooking the sea where Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount and it is believed that Jesus picked his 12 apostles. We’ll ascend to the Golan Heights to view the panoramic view of the peaks of Mt heron and the rugged plateau of the Golan Heights and beneath it the green pastoral Huleh valley, drive back to overnight at Tiberias for overnight. Day 9 (Sea of Galilee, Nazareth, Jordan river, Jerusalem): Drive to Cana to visit the wedding church where Jesus performed his first miracle, turning water to wine. We proceed to visit Nazareth, where Jesus spent his childhood, and the church of annunciation, built on the site where archaeologists believe the Archangel Gabriel appeared to the virgin Mary. You’ll also see Mary’s well and Joseph’s church. Continue through the Jordan valley to Beit Shean with its recently excavated amphitheater. Visit the excavations of this beautiful preserved roman city which was destroyed in an earthquake and then onward to Jerusalem, where you check in to your choice of hotel and overnight. (DB)

Day 10 (Dead Sea, Arad, Masada, Jerusalem): Drive through remarkable scenery of the dead sea we’ll continue to Masada which is situated right on an isolated cliff in the Jurean desert, the site has been declared as a Unesco world heritage site in 2001, ascent by cable car to the fortress which was the last stronghold of the Jewish zealots in their war against the Romans. Visit excavations, king Herod’s place, the synagogue, bathhouse, etc. Enjoy the breathtaking view of the roman camps and the dead sea. Descend for a possible “floatâ€? in salty water of the worls’s lowest place. Via Ein Gedi and Kayla proceed to Jerusalem for overnight. (BD)

Day 11 (Jerusalem): Drive to mount Scopus for a panoramic view of Jerusalem on to the garden of Gethsemane and church of the angony. Drive to mount Zion for the visit to the tomb of King David, the room of the last supper and dormition Abbey. Sightseeing in the new city including the Israel museum, new supreme court building, mount Herzl and Yad Vashem (the memorial to the six million jews who were killed in the hilicaust). Then visit the model of the herodian city of Jerusalem dating back to the time of the seecong temple, afternoon visit of the Hadassah medical center and the synagogue with Marc Chagall stained glass windows. Then via Ein Karem (the birth place of john the Baptist), return to the hotel. (BD)

Day 12 (Jerusalem, Old city, Bethlehem): Walk through one of the gates of the walled old city: the renewed jewish quarter, the western wall, the temple area, the colorful bazaars, via dolorosa and the church of the holy sepulcher. Continue of bethlehem to visit rachel’s tomb and the church of the nativity. Reurn to jerusalem and onvernight. (BD)

Day 13 (Flying back home): After breakfast, free day in Tel Aviv at night transfer to Tel Aviv Airport for your final departure home. (B)
